Brief

Since footwear retailer ALDO UK was bought by Bushell Investments Group in June 2020, we’ve been working with them to give the brand a new lease of life through social, influencer marketing and PR.

Solution

First we focused on influencer strategy – reaching our ad-savvy audience through authentic voices that they trust; to increase brand awareness, put ALDO UK back on the map and begin building an ALDO community.

This was supported with a programme of paid and organic social media and PR. Our PR work saw the likes of Strictly 2021 champions, Giovanni & Rose and the Duchess of Cambridge wearing ALDO shoes.

Later in 2021, ALDO reopened their flagship Oxford Street store. We helped plan the exciting launch day activities, shared social content and worked with influencers to promote the store opening. News of the store opening also gained good traction in the press, with many industry publications covering the story.

Results

ALDO now have an additional 100,000 followers on social and the initial influencer activity generated reach of 1.74bn, which was 5 x higher than expectations set.
