It’s often said that I am the MOST IMPORTANT person at Cogent, and I can’t help but agree!
As Cogent’s receptionist it’s my job to help keep everyone in contact with each other (with the most powerful weapon, the tannoy) and, as I’m the first person everyone sees as they walk into the building, ensure all are welcomed.
Working on the reception for such a busy agency means that every day is different and I love being involved with the teams and all their different requirements; from managing our events to helping post out some very odd shaped packages!
I don’t know if it’s the buildings, the people or the coffee but many of our clients prefer to hold their meetings here and so I’ve got to know them all well. It’s great to meet such a diverse group of people; bike boys’ petrol heads, shoppers and foodies.
Here at Cogent we are lucky enough to work in a beautiful barn and in my vantage spot in the heart of it all I can see everything that happens; and working just across a lovely courtyard from Production means I can see all of the Agency’s output as it goes through the building.
I’ve been here for over 2 years now and I can honestly say I have never enjoyed anywhere more, it’s great to feel valued, it’s great to fit in and it’s great that everyone knows who I am: I am MELISSA, Queen of Cogent!
