Cogent Elliott...Probably the best agency football team in the Midlands
Cogent's football team braved the evening chill to score a winning goal for the Teenage Cancer Trust with a charity football tournament.
Cogent were one of Thirteen teams that took part in the PACE 5-A-Side Football event to raise money for the charity and indulge in some friendly rivalry with the great and the good of the Midland’s advertising, print and media agencies.
The event, held at Salford Stadium in Birmingham on the 24th September, raised 445 pounds for the nominated charity.
Many of Cogent’s local rivals also put teams forward for the tournament, each playing seven minute matches to decide who made it through to the quarter finals. The teams were whittled down over the evening until WAA took on Cogent in the final.
The final whistle brought the ecstasy and jubilation that the team had worked so hard for and Cogent were officially crowned the best agency football team in the Midlands with a much deserved 2-0 victory.
Plans are afoot for an open-top bus tour of Meriden to celebrate!
