Cogent Beekeeping: February 2020.

Time flies when you're having fun

February, the month of love, pancakes and a lot (and we mean a lot!) of rain. It’s time to welcome March, the month of daffodils, St Paddys (cheers to that) and daylight saving (finally!). But before we get cracking, we give you the low down on all the latest happenings here at Cogent.

We had a great start to the month as we welcomed a new client to the Cogent family, National Grid ESO. We’re already in full swing as we kick-off with some exciting work - coming your way soon!

We launched some seasonal work for Kwik Fit this February. In a Valentines Day special, we helped promote their online 10% off sale with some digital campaign work.

We’ve been busy running a strategic workshop for fuelGenie to help identify opportunities in their lead conversion and retention funnels. Were now in the process of mapping our their customer journey. Exciting stuff to come!

Our PR Exec, Joe, headed off to an insightful talk: ‘Lessons from a journalist: How to secure media coverage’ this month too. A really interesting day which saw him come back with lots of new ideas.

Anyone who's been through the university application process if familiar with UCAS. They have also expanded their offer to support applications for apprenticeships and we've been working with them on a content marketing programme to help build awareness and understanding of the world of apprenticeships.

Shrove Tuesday saw us flip up a storm (slathered in Nutella and copious amounts of sugar) as we celebrated Pancake Day at HQ. Not to mention Boycie's #CheatDay...

It's been another busy one for Marston's - we've been working with them on Valentines Day and a new menu launch.

In true togetherness style, our Marston's team are also enjoying hot-desking at their HQ in Wolverhampton. We pride ourselves on being an extended part of the Marston's in-house team and love to get really stuck in with the client. Not to mention their canteen! It's laid out like a pub with interactive dartboards, ping pong tables and pool tables (now that's the real reason we go... shhh).

Huge congratulations are in order for one of our clients, Samantha Rutter, as she featured in We Are The City’s list of inspirational women. Samantha founded Open Study College, the distance learning provider, with her father 12 years ago and has always been passionate about championing women in the workplace. You can read the full feature write up here. Well done to Samantha, a great achievement.

Annnnd that's a wrap. March is already off to a flying start, and we can't wait to share with you what we have in store over the next few weeks. Until then, it's over and out.
